Credit Controller – Manage £5-6M Debt Portfolio

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team in London. You will be responsible for managing a debt portfolio of approximately £5‑6 million, supporting the Credit Control Manager and Director of Finance in reducing outstanding balances. The role offers a hybrid working pattern with three days in the office and two days remote.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve cash collection targets consistently.
• Monitor and act on mailbox queries promptly.
• Implement and follow the Dunning Strategy to optimise debt recovery.
• Set up systems to monitor customer credit accounts and identify potential risks early.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve processes affecting customer billing.
• Ensure billing accuracy and efficiency.
• Negotiate credit terms and maintain strong customer relationships.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a credit control role.
• Forward‑thinking mindset with initiative.
• Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage a £5‑6 million debt portfolio.
