Crime Solicitor – Private Criminal Defence (West London)

About the role

We are a specialist criminal law firm in West London expanding our privately funded defence practice. As a Crime Solicitor you will support the transition of Legal Aid solicitors into privately funded criminal work and handle a broad portfolio of serious criminal matters.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Legal Aid crime solicitors in moving to privately funded criminal defence work.
• Represent clients in cases involving murder, fraud, white‑collar and financial crime, organised crime, appeals and extradition.
• Collaborate with senior team members to develop case strategy and provide high‑quality advocacy.
• Maintain client relationships and ensure compliance with professional standards.

Required profile

• Newly qualified solicitor with active criminal defence experience.
• Holder of a practising solicitor’s qualification in England & Wales.
• Higher Rights of Audience desirable; the firm will fund acquisition if not already held.
