Criminal Defence Paralegal – London & Hertfordshire

About the role

Lloyds PR Solicitors, a leading criminal defence firm, is seeking a motivated Criminal Defence Paralegal to join its London or Hertfordshire office. The role offers exposure to high‑profile, complex cases and a clear pathway towards a training contract and qualification via the SQE route.

Key responsibilities

• Assist solicitors with case preparation, including document drafting and filing.
• Conduct legal research and gather evidence for criminal matters.
• Liaise with police stations, courts, prisons and other stakeholders.
• Manage a personal caseload under supervision, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Support the team in police station accreditation and attend paid overtime when required.

Required profile

• LPC or SQE qualified with a strong interest in criminal law.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and follow instructions accurately.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a solid work ethic.
