Criminal Paralegal – Support Busy Defence Team

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Criminal Paralegal to join a busy criminal defence team in Windsor. The successful candidate will work closely with solicitors on a variety of criminal cases, from initial instruction through to trial and post‑hearing work, providing high‑quality client care.

Key responsibilities

• Assist solicitors on criminal defence matters, including police station attendance and court appearances (magistrates’ and crown court).
• Prepare case files, witness statements and other legal documentation.
• Draft correspondence, attendance notes and manage deadlines and court listings.
• Liaise with clients, police, Crown Prosecution Service, courts and counsel.
• Provide a high standard of client care throughout proceedings.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Criminal Paralegal or Legal Assistant, or a law graduate with relevant criminal law experience.
• Strong interest and understanding of criminal law and procedure.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
