Crisis Children's Support Worker – Truro/Falmouth

About the role

Randstad Care is expanding its regional workforce in the Truro and Falmouth area. The Crisis Children’s Support Worker provides specialised, high‑needs care for children and young adults with severe communication deficits, profound learning disabilities and trauma backgrounds.

Key responsibilities

• Assist young people with sensory stimulation, communication tracking and personal care routines.
• Manage physical and verbal aggression calmly while preserving dignity.
• Maintain accurate, compliant records of care activities and incidents.
• Support the implementation of individual care plans and promote independence.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months paid experience in UK care or youth support sectors.
• High emotional intelligence, clear communication and a strong focus on safeguarding.
• Valid UK driving licence and reliable vehicle for travel between residential sites.
• Ability to work flexible day, night and weekend shifts.
