Customer Assistant (Part-Time, Fixed-Term)

About the role

Sainsbury's is hiring a part-time Customer Assistant for its Birkdale Liverpool Road local store in Liverpool. This is a fixed-term assignment of 15 hours per week, paid at £13.23 per hour, ending on 10 January 2027. Shifts are planned within the availability window shown and shared three weeks in advance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful service and make customers feel valued
• Help with filling shelves, picking orders, serving customers and selling products
• Use digital tools to do the job well and improve the customer experience
• Organise and move stock, keep shelves tidy and present, and move heavy loads to the right place
• Build knowledge of products, services and promotions to recommend them to customers

Required profile

• Right to work in the UK
• Aged 18 or over, because the role may involve handling alcohol and other goods
• Friendly, enthusiastic about helping customers and able to thrive in a fast-paced, physical environment
• Team player who is flexible and open to learning new digital tools
