Customer Care Apprenticeship (Senior Financial Services Customer Adviser)

About the role

Barclays is recruiting for its 2027 Customer Care Apprenticeship in Manchester, leading to a Senior Financial Services Customer Adviser apprenticeship. The programme combines a permanent, full-time job with a professional qualification, and is aimed at school leavers and career changers. The apprentice takes part in the day-to-day activities of the retail banking division, helping senior colleagues make informed decisions, develop new products and services and identify new market opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute small research projects and prepare presentations and reports to support strategic decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management to implement research findings
• Manage client relationships and provide customer service, answering questions about products and services, processing transactions and resolving complaints
• Develop business cases and manage the launch of new products and services
• Manage financial models and strategies used in retail banking decisions
• Train and mentor junior colleagues

Required profile

• 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C (9-5) including Maths and English, or equivalent
• Commitment and enthusiasm, with the willingness to work hard every day
• Legal right to work in the UK for the full duration of the programme (August 2027 to August 2029)
• No previous study, training, qualifications, prior funding or support that would make you ineligible for government apprentice funding
