Customer Delivery Driver – Dunmow

About the role

As the face of Tesco on the road, you will bring groceries directly to customers' homes in the Dunmow area. The role combines safe driving, customer interaction and physical handling of orders, offering a varied day‑to‑day experience.

Key responsibilities

• Keep the delivery van, trays and work area clean, tidy and organised.
• Load the van safely, perform pre‑trip checks and ensure the vehicle is road‑worthy.
• Communicate order changes, substitutions or short‑dated items to customers in a friendly manner.
• Handle products with care, treating each order as if it were your own.
• Deliver within the customer’s selected time slot, providing warm, courteous service at the doorstep.

Required profile

• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong relationships with colleagues.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing customer needs and shift patterns.

What we offer

• Hourly pay starting at £14.18, rising to £15.45 in stores within the M25.
• Minimum 16 hours per week guaranteed (roles from 12 hours also available).
