Customer Service Administrator (Part‑Time)

About the role

This part‑time, six‑month fixed‑term position supports an established business in Havant. You will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring a smooth journey from enquiry through to delivery. The role combines front‑line service with back‑office administration.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries via telephone and email promptly and professionally.
• Provide accurate information on product availability, lead times and pricing.
• Manage a shared inbox, ensuring all requests are actioned efficiently.
• Process customer orders using internal systems, verify stock and coordinate dispatches.
• Arrange deliveries and place orders with third‑party suppliers, monitoring progress to completion.
• Generate pro‑forma invoices when required and maintain up‑to‑date customer records.
• Keep customers informed about order status, lead times and delivery schedules.
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers and logistics partners to deliver a seamless service.

Required profile

• Previous experience in customer service, sales support or administration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational ability with a keen eye for detail.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Positive, professional and customer‑focused attitude.

What we offer

• 6‑month fixed‑term contract with the possibility of extension.
• Approximately 27.5 hours per week (flexible start/finish times).
• Salary £26,000 – £26,500 pro rata (£13.30 – £13.60 per hour).
