Customer Service Advisor – Trade Support

About the role

As a Customer Service Advisor (Trade Support) you will be the first voice tradespeople hear when they need help, support or advice. You will ensure every interaction feels simple, helpful and valuable while representing Checkatrade’s commitment to great service.

Key responsibilities

• Help tradespeople get more from Checkatrade by answering calls, chats and emails with care and confidence.
• Identify opportunities to add value and guide members toward tools, features or upgrades that support their goals.
• Resolve complex issues by listening carefully, thinking critically and using sound judgement.
• Work cross‑functionally, escalating cases and collaborating with other teams to achieve quick resolutions.
• Share feedback to improve support processes, reduce repeat contacts and build trust.

Required profile

• Experience in customer service, ideally in a membership or B2B environment.
• Excellent communication skills – clear, calm and compassionate even in tough conversations.
• Logical, problem‑solving mindset with a methodical approach to issues.
• Confidence working at pace and adapting to change.
