Customer Services Assistant

About the role

The University of Leeds Libraries are seeking a Customer Services Assistant to join their front‑line support team. You will work on campus, providing high‑quality assistance to staff, students and external visitors across library services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver welcoming, front‑line support in a designated library and, when needed, across other campus library sites.
• Answer enquiries and guide customers to make the most of library spaces, resources and services.
• Maintain a tidy, inviting environment for all visitors.
• Provide cover for service points in line with operational requirements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer‑facing role.
• Ability to engage positively and proactively with a diverse range of customers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong teamwork orientation and meticulous attention to detail.
