Cyber Security Consultant – Various Levels

About the role

We are seeking Cyber Security Consultants at various levels to join an established engineering and technology consultancy, delivering complex, high‑profile programmes across defence, critical national infrastructure and operational technology environments. The role offers hybrid working in Bristol or London and a chance to contribute to national capability and resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver cyber security consultancy, risk assessments and security assurance activities for Defence, CNI and OT projects.
• Develop security governance documentation, policies and controls aligned with standards such as ISO 27001 and IEC 62443.
• Support and advise stakeholders on technical cyber security challenges and secure‑by‑design approaches.
• At senior or principal level, contribute to project delivery, business development and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Experience in defence, aerospace or national infrastructure environments with an understanding of operational technologies.
• Background in security assurance, accreditation activities and relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISMP, CCSP, ISO 27001, GICSP).
• Experience segmenting and securing industrial OT/ICS networks; familiarity with standards such as IEC 62443, NIST CSF, NIS Regulations, HSE OG‑0086.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex information to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Security clearance (SC or higher) and British citizenship are required.
