Data Analytics Engineer I

About the role

We are looking for a Data Analytics Engineer to join Checkout.com’s Financial Infrastructure team in London. In this role you will help design, build and maintain data pipelines that support our internal financial ecosystem and ensure high‑quality, reliable financial data for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines to ingest and transform data from our systems, services and applications.
• Implement monitoring and alerting frameworks to guarantee pipeline performance and reliability.
• Partner with other analytics engineers to create robust data models that serve downstream analytical queries.
• Maintain data governance and security standards across all data assets.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve the platform.
• Collaborate with Finance and Treasury stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and SLAs.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in analytics engineering or data engineering with large‑scale data transformation.
• Strong SQL coding skills.
• Experience with cloud‑based data warehouses such as Snowflake, Google BigQuery or AWS Redshift.
• Familiarity with data transformation tools like dbt or Dataflow.
• Understanding of data modeling techniques and visualization platforms (Looker, Tableau, Apache Superset).
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment and strong communication skills.
