Data Centre Solutions Architect

About the role

A recruiter is partnering with a global technology solutions and services provider to hire a Data Centre Solutions Architect for its London-based architecture team. This is a client-facing pre-sales role for someone who enjoys on-premises infrastructure and turning complex business problems into clear technical solutions. The team includes architects and engineers who speak at conferences, run meetups and are passionate about data centres, cloud, automation and AI.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with clients to understand their challenges and design the right on-prem solution
• Data centre network modernisation: spine-leaf, SDN and Cisco ACI
• Infrastructure automation and cost optimisation using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Design resilient, highly available environments and disaster recovery strategies
• Architect AI-ready infrastructure (GPU/CPU compute) and advise on power, cooling and rack density
• Present solutions and business value to technical and senior stakeholders

Required profile

• 5+ years in enterprise infrastructure or data centre architecture
• Hands-on design or deployment experience across some of: Cisco UCS or Dell PowerEdge, Cisco Nexus/ACI, HCI (Nutanix, HyperFlex, Azure Local), Pure Storage or Dell EMC, VMware Cloud Foundation
• Experience architecting and delivering migrations end to end
• Strong communication and presentation skills, able to link technology to business outcomes

Bonus points for CCNP, NVIDIA certifications, Python/REST APIs, or Docker/Kubernetes. The position is permanent and hybrid in London; salary is negotiable.
