Powertrain Software Intern

About the role

Bosch is recruiting a Powertrain Software intern for its Coventry office. This is a 12-month internship starting in June 2027, open to undergraduate students who are eligible to take a work placement as part of their university course. The internship sits within the automotive powertrain area and is part of the BUILD learning and development programme.

Key responsibilities

• Support the vehicle test team with task tracking and reporting.
• Support the development of test automation tools.
• Support the development of test scripts and test execution on the HiL test set-up.
• Support test engineers at Bosch and at customer sites with technical tasks such as measurement data analysis, test planning, project review and debugging.
• Track and manage the equipment pool within the team.

Required profile

• Studying for a relevant undergraduate degree with a required placement; engineering background preferred.
• Knowledge or interest in automotive powertrain is desirable.
• Ability to organise own work and work autonomously, with good analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Right to live and work in the UK for the full duration of the placement, and a placement directly relevant to the course.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, Matlab/Simulink and C is desirable.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
