Data Discovery & Enrichment Expert – SEP Intelligence Lead

About the role

As a Senior Data Discovery and Enrichment (DDE) Expert III you will lead complex data discovery and enrichment projects for LexisNexis Intellectual Property Solutions. You will define methodologies, best practices and governance for SEP content expansion and apply AI expertise to enhance the IPlytics and Protégé platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Drive Data Discovery and Enrichment projects supporting SEP and standards‑related content expansion.
• Define and maintain quality evaluation standards for SEP question classes such as essentiality assessment and royalty range analysis.
• Author acceptance criteria for new AI capabilities and act as quality authority during sprint planning.
• Maintain curated evaluation question sets and calibrate automated evaluation systems against expert judgment.
• Hold release gate authority for SEP question classes, ensuring AI updates meet quality thresholds.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in data discovery, taxonomy, classification or content enrichment projects.
• Direct experience with FRAND licensing, SEP essentiality analysis or SEP portfolio management.
• Working knowledge of major standards bodies such as 3GPP, IEEE, MPEG, JEDEC or ITU.
• Ability to analyse patent portfolios at scale and document technical quality judgments.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, law or related field, or equivalent experience.
