Data Engineer – AWS

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Data and Analytics Delivery department on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will help migrate and integrate data into our new ecosystem, designing, developing and testing high‑quality data engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and test data pipelines and integration solutions.
• Provide review and assurance activities, guiding team members on design, build and test.
• Follow standard‑driven code development and deliver solutions that meet business needs on time.
• Create and execute test cases, prepare test data and ensure accurate deliverables.
• Work in a hybrid model with at least one day per week in the Coventry or Manchester office.

Required profile

• Data Engineering qualification or extensive commercial/agile data development experience.
• Significant experience with AWS, Python, SQL, Git and PySpark.
• Desirable experience with SAS or SISS, quality assurance and test automation, database technologies, and experience in a financial services organisation.
