Information Security Analyst – Product Assurance

About the role

Join Sainsbury’s Data Governance and Information Security team as an Information Security Analyst within the Product Assurance squad. You will help ensure that engineering and development teams build and maintain secure products throughout their lifecycle, aligning security posture with evolving threats and business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Review and improve the organisation’s security posture for product development.
• Define and enforce security non‑functional requirements for each project.
• Collaborate with the Information Security Testing team to coordinate ethical hacking, code reviews, application and infrastructure scanning.
• Provide end‑to‑end assurance and approvals for IT products across their lifecycle.
• Articulate risk in both technical and non‑technical terms to stakeholders.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in information or cyber security.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development with recent industry‑recognised certifications.
• Strong stakeholder‑management abilities and the capacity to work in an agile, flexible environment.
• In‑depth knowledge of security technologies as they apply to monolithic and micro‑service architectures.

Required skills

• Security testing (ethical hacking, code review, application scanning, infrastructure scanning).
• Risk assessment and communication.
• Definition of security non‑functional requirements.
