Data Engineer

About the role

Flok is seeking a Data Engineer who is motivated by improving patient outcomes through data‑driven decision making. As the sole engineer focused on data, you will build and maintain the data platform that powers the company’s AI‑native healthcare solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse patient data by running queries, creating visualisations and summarising insights.
• Design and develop an internal data platform that enables non‑technical colleagues to self‑serve data queries.
• Collaborate with the UX team to iterate product design based on data‑driven findings.
• Formulate analytical questions to guide product decisions and improve the data model.
• Ensure best practices for medical data storage, security and privacy.

Required profile

• Strong programming ability in Python and its data‑science ecosystem.
• Understanding of the distinction between research and production code.
• Good mathematical fluency, especially in probability, statistics and information theory.
• Ability to work closely with design and product teams and communicate clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Initiative, ownership and a passion for delivering high‑quality clinical care.
