Data Protection Administrator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Data Protection Administrator to join a fast‑growing organisation on a six‑month contract. The role is fully remote and focuses on day‑to‑day privacy operations, ensuring compliance with UK GDPR and supporting the handling of Data Subject Access Requests.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end DSAR/Individual Rights Request process, meeting statutory deadlines.
• Support disclosure responses, including review and redaction of data.
• Monitor and maintain the data protection inbox, logging and progressing requests efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records and tracking in line with regulatory requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Escalate complex privacy matters when required.
• Contribute to data protection awareness and support across the business.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data protection or privacy, with strong knowledge of UK GDPR.
• Hands‑on experience handling DSARs, disclosures or compliance‑focused processes.
• Ability to work confidently with large and varied data sets.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Desirable privacy qualifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM or BCS, though not essential.
