Data Science Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Data Science Manager to join a global insurance organisation’s Strategic Analytics team in London. The role blends hands‑on technical work with leadership, guiding a team of Data Scientists to deliver predictive models and machine‑learning solutions that drive business value.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize data‑driven opportunities to improve performance across the business.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate business challenges into analytics projects.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of predictive models and machine‑learning pipelines.
• Provide technical mentorship and day‑to‑day guidance to a team of Data Scientists.
• Act as the primary liaison between the analytics function and other business units.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data science, predictive modelling, and advanced analytics.
• Background in insurance, London market, claims, or broader financial services is preferred.
• Strong stakeholder‑management skills with the ability to communicate complex insights to non‑technical audiences.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing a data‑science team.
