Data Scientist Graduate

About the role

The Data Science team at TikTok Shop is looking for a graduate to join a global, full‑stack data team. You will work on metrics development, product improvement, algorithm enhancement and data infrastructure to support the growth of TikTok Shop.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business, product, algorithm and engineering teams to design data solutions for critical business problems.
• Conduct insightful analysis, identify trends and drive business impact.
• Lead data strategy by integrating new data sets and developing data products with engineers.
• Research and implement statistical models, A/B tests and stay current with industry developments.
• Utilise algorithms and models to mine big‑data stores, perform error analysis and improve models.
• Adopt AI to automate and scale analytical workflows.

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related fields.
• Fluent English for daily work.
• Strong communication, teamwork and initiative.
• Logical thinking, business interpretation ability and fast learning.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SQL.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Python programming (or another scripting language).
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and data modelling techniques.
• Experience with A/B testing and machine‑learning concepts.
• Ability to clean, validate and manage large data sets.
