Data Warehouse Architect – Enterprise Lakehouse & Azure

About the role

We are partnering with a private‑equity backed organisation in Salford that is embarking on a greenfield data transformation. As a Data Warehouse Architect you will own the strategy and design of a modern enterprise‑wide data platform, enabling reporting, analytics, AI and future innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and govern enterprise‑scale data warehouse and Lakehouse architectures.
• Develop data platform strategies using Microsoft Fabric, OneLake and Databricks.
• Build scalable data models, storage frameworks and modern integration pipelines.
• Establish governance, security, lineage and access‑control frameworks.
• Define CI/CD and deployment standards for data products.
• Collaborate with senior business and technology stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into technical solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing enterprise data warehouse and Lakehouse solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform and Databricks technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with PySpark, SQL and Medallion Architecture implementation.
• Expertise in data modelling approaches such as Star Schema and Data Vault.
• Solid understanding of data governance, security and access management.
