Debt Finance Paralegal

About the role

Join a leading international law firm's finance team as a Debt Finance Paralegal. You will support complex financing transactions, manage KYC processes, and work closely with lenders, clients, and external advisers in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate KYC requirements and liaise with lenders, clients, and advisers.
• Maintain client information databases and KYC resources.
• Conduct Companies House searches, registrations, and transaction formalities.
• Draft transaction‑related documents such as board resolutions and certificates.
• Track leveraged finance market activity and report completed transactions.
• Develop and maintain finance know‑how materials and support knowledge‑management initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and manage documentation across multiple matters.
• Assist with training, knowledge‑sharing activities, and other transactional or administrative projects.

Required profile

• Minimum six months experience in a legal, compliance, or KYC‑focused role.
• Experience within a law firm, financial institution, or professional services environment.
• Strong organisational, project‑management and analytical abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and confidence liaising with clients.
• Proactive, independent working style with interest in leveraged finance.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement.
