Decal Fitter - Full-Time Days

About the role

A recruitment agency is recruiting a fully skilled Decal Fitter to join a well-established production team in Stoke-on-Trent. The role involves applying full-coverage decals to trailers, bodies and cabs to specification, with a focus on a high standard of finish and safety. It suits someone practical, organised and confident working independently while meeting production requirements and deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Fit full-coverage decals, including ancillaries, to a consistent high standard.
• Measure, set out and align decals accurately according to job specifications.
• Identify and rectify any rework that arises during production.
• Complete daily check and inspection sheets and keep accurate documentation.
• Communicate with managers to meet production sequencing and deadlines.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe working practices in your area.
• Produce work efficiently to agreed timescales.

Required profile

• Proven ability to carry out the full decal fitting process unsupervised.
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications and drawings.
• Understanding of type approval considerations relating to decal placement.
• Willingness to mentor and support the training of new staff.
• Flexibility to support other production areas when required.

Required skills

• Daily inspection and safe use of ladders, scissor lifts and heat tools.
• Adherence to PPE and factory rules at all times.
• Compliance with site health and safety procedures.
• Correct handling and recycling of waste materials in line with company processes.
