Defendant Personal Injury Solicitor – 4+ PQE, London

About the role

We are seeking a Defendant Personal Injury Solicitor with at least four years post‑qualification experience to join our London office. You will work within a high‑performing insurance team handling complex, high‑value claims for major insurers and policyholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of defendant Employer's Liability and Public Liability claims, from fast‑track matters to multi‑million‑pound disputes.
• Support partners on complex litigation, including multi‑party and high‑profile cases.
• Advise clients on regulatory investigations and prosecutions involving bodies such as the HSE, police and CQC.
• Attend coroner's inquests and assist with policy coverage disputes and interpretation issues.
• Provide guidance on pre‑action and litigated personal injury and property damage claims.

Required profile

• Minimum four years' PQE with strong experience in defendant personal injury matters.
• Extensive background in Employer's Liability and Public Liability claims, preferably acting for insurers.
• Excellent technical and drafting abilities, strong commercial awareness and client‑relationship skills.
• Highly organised, proactive, detail‑oriented and able to work collaboratively.
