Delegated Authority Analyst – Insurance Services

About the role

This position sits within the Delegated Authority Practice of Polo Works, supporting a growing team across London and Cheltenham. The Analyst will experience the full delegated authority lifecycle, work closely with clients, and collaborate with other Polo teams such as Claims. It is ideal for graduates or early‑career professionals interested in the insurance market and Lloyd’s.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑ordinating Coverholder and Delegated Claim Administrator due diligence, ensuring all files are complete and up‑to‑date.
• Assisting with the coordination of external audits and managing the process through to closure of audit findings.
• Liaising with insurers, Coverholders, audit firms and brokers to process approvals and renewals within SLAs.
• Preparing renewal slips and endorsements, and producing reports and meeting packs.
• Reviewing reports, chasing outstanding queries, and supporting client proposals.
• Ensuring activities meet client expectations, regulatory requirements and best practices.

Required profile

• Entry‑level understanding of delegated authority or Lloyd’s requirements.
• Strong analytical, written and communication abilities.
• Excellent organisation, time‑management and attention to detail.
• Ability to interact confidently with individuals at all business levels.
• Commitment to complete Chartered Insurance Institute exams to at least Certificate level.
