Demand Planner

About the role

As part of Hilti’s Global Demand Planning and S&OP setup, you will drive the global Sales & Operations Planning process by delivering high‑quality statistical forecasts and turning data into actionable business insights.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust statistical forecasts using sales history and appropriate forecasting methods.
• Facilitate and continuously improve the statistical forecasting process to support S&OP decision‑making.
• Analyse forecast performance, identify root causes of errors and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor, measure and report on forecast accuracy and quality.
• Partner with market organisations, global process managers and IT teams to enhance forecasting capabilities.
• Evaluate and recommend alternative forecasting approaches and methodologies.
• Drive operational efficiency through continuous process improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience applying statistical forecasting methods (e.g., time series, baseline forecasting, model selection) in a business environment.
• Hands‑on experience with demand planning and S&OP/IBP cycles, owning statistical baseline forecasts.
• Advanced analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Experience with planning tools such as SAP APO, SAP IBP or similar.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• University degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Supply Chain, Data Analytics or a related field (preferred).
