Depot Manager

About the role

The Depot Manager will take full ownership of a key operational site in Exeter, driving performance across operations, service delivery and financial results. This role sits within a fast‑paced, highly regulated logistics environment and reports directly to senior commercial functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead site performance across operations, finance and service delivery.
• Take full responsibility for budgeting, P&L performance and financial targets.
• Manage and develop multi‑shift operational teams.
• Ensure strong customer service and contract delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with health & safety and regulatory standards.
• Oversee workforce planning and resource allocation.
• Support commercial and growth initiatives.
• Promote a culture of accountability and high performance.

Required profile

• Experience in a logistics, transport or service‑led environment.
• Strong background in P&L and operational leadership.
• Proven ability to manage large, multi‑shift teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering operational improvement and change.

Required skills

• Lean / continuous improvement experience (desirable).
