Deputy Children's Home Registered Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Deputy Children's Home Registered Manager to help launch and run a new 5‑bed residential home for young people aged 11‑18 with emotional and behavioural needs. Working alongside an experienced leadership team, you will help create a safe, supportive environment where children can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Registered Manager in setting up the new home, including recruitment, induction and team development.
• Provide day‑to‑day leadership and supervision to staff, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Build positive, therapeutic relationships with children, supporting their personal development and wellbeing.
• Monitor and evaluate care plans, safeguarding procedures and outcomes, reporting to senior management as required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintain accurate records.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in residential children’s care or a comparable social‑care setting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection and regulatory frameworks.
• Commitment to the values of social pedagogy and person‑centred practice.
