Deputy Finance Business Partner

About the role

An outstanding Deputy Finance Business Partner position with an award‑winning manufacturing business that values quality, innovation and continuous improvement. The role is ideal for a commercially minded, CIMA part‑qualified accountant with manufacturing experience, working closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner to provide financial analysis and insight for strong decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Monthly reporting of cost of sales, overheads, depreciation and divisional costs.
• Prepare accruals and pre‑payments and conduct regular budget holder reviews.
• Partner with budget holders to produce robust forecasts and budgets, monitor variances and deliver meaningful insight.
• Assist with capital planning and model the impact on depreciation.
• Support ad‑hoc projects, investigations and cost‑saving initiatives across the business.
• Contribute to audit activity and continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified CIMA (or actively working towards CIMA qualification).
• Experience in manufacturing finance.
• Strong analytical and commercial mindset.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and build strong relationships.
• Attention to detail and solid problem‑solving skills.
