Deputy Manager – Registered General Nurse

About the role

Avery Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Clinical Deputy Manager to support the General Manager in delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care within a residential home. This full‑time, on‑site position plays a pivotal role in ensuring a safe, stimulating environment for residents while meeting professional, statutory and commercial standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inspirational leadership and day‑to‑day management to the care team.
• Ensure medication policies and procedures are strictly followed and support medication reviews.
• Monitor resident wellbeing, identify changes, and update care plans accordingly.
• Complete monthly audits, quality indicator reports and any additional required reporting.
• Attend weekly clinical meetings and oversee clinical risk areas within the home.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Minimum two years’ experience in a similar care setting, preferably in a management role.
• Strong leadership, communication (verbal and written) and IT competency.
• Ability to adapt quickly and cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
