Deputy Manager (Registered Nurse) – Cheltenham

About the role

This position supports the Service Manager in running a specialist care service in Cheltenham. It offers an experienced Registered Nurse the chance to lead a dedicated team and ensure high‑quality, person‑centred care for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Service Manager with day‑to‑day operations and act as deputy in their absence.
• Lead, supervise and develop nursing and support staff.
• Maintain clinical standards, care planning, medication management and safeguarding.
• Promote independence, dignity and choice for residents.
• Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals and external partners.
• Support service performance, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
• Experience in a senior nursing, clinical lead or deputy management role.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Good understanding of clinical governance, safeguarding and regulatory requirements.
• Passion for delivering exceptional care and positive outcomes.
