Deputy Service Manager – Residential Care

About the role

We are looking for a Deputy Service Manager to support our residential care service in Crook. Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will help deliver person‑centred support that promotes independence for the people we support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of care staff, including recruitment, induction, supervisions and appraisals.
• Develop and implement person‑centred support plans and conduct care needs assessments.
• Carry out medication competencies, audits and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Attend multi‑disciplinary meetings and produce required reports.
• Assist the Registered Manager with day‑to‑day service management and participate in the on‑call rota.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a care management role.
• Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care.
• Experience working with individuals with autism, learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.

Required skills

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Knowledge of care planning, medication handling and regulatory compliance.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £14.97 (up to £15.47 with enhanced evening/weekend pay) for a 37.5‑hour week.
