DevOps Engineer – Cloud & Kubernetes

About the role

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support and scale our cloud infrastructure and deployment environments across production and research platforms. You will work closely with software engineering and technical teams to improve reliability, security, observability, and deployment practices.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Manage production Kubernetes clusters.
• Support and optimise CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive GitOps deployment practices.
• Implement infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Improve monitoring, observability, security, and reliability.
• Assist multiple internal teams with deployment and infrastructure needs.
• Develop scalable deployment strategies for development and production.

Required profile

• Commercial experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or SRE.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS and production Kubernetes.
• Proven CI/CD pipeline management.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code tooling experience (Terraform/OpenTofu preferred).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch or CloudTrail.
• Experience with GitOps methodologies.
• Scripting ability in Bash or similar.
