About the role
We are a fast‑growing fintech company building secure payment automation solutions. As a DevOps Engineer you will keep our cloud infrastructure running smoothly and securely, enabling rapid, reliable releases for our payment platform. This fully remote role is open to candidates based anywhere in England.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain cloud environments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support payment applications.
- Automate deployments and infrastructure provisioning using Jenkins, GitLab CI, Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement monitoring and alerting with Prometheus and Grafana to detect and resolve issues before they affect users.
- Ensure security and compliance for sensitive payment data, performing regular checks and audits.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimise CI/CD pipelines and scale services as the platform grows.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years of hands‑on DevOps experience.
- Strong background with cloud platforms, containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD tooling.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and scripting with Python or Bash.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging and security best practices in fintech or high‑risk environments.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Must be based in England with the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship).
