DevOps & Security Engineer (Full‑time)

About the role

As a DevOps & Security Engineer at the Universities Superannuation Scheme you will help design, build and secure the automation pipelines that deliver the organisation’s in‑house solutions. You’ll work closely with the Operations team and key stakeholders to ensure reliable, repeatable releases across a large pension platform.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document technical and operational requirements from IMS stakeholders.
• Implement and maintain automation for IMS processes.
• Design, build and improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Enhance automated test frameworks and support testing tools.
• Manage and optimise software release and deployment processes.
• Share knowledge within the team and mentor junior members.
• Participate in workshops and collaborative improvement sessions.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Azure DevOps pipelines and CI/CD practices.
• Hands‑on use of Atlassian tools such as Confluence and Jira.
• Strong scripting and programming skills in PowerShell, Python, C# and SQL.
• Ability to produce clear, concise and maintainable code.
• Good communication skills and willingness to share knowledge.
