Digital Product Owner

About the role

As a Digital Product Owner at Canada Life you will shape the strategic direction of a key business area and work closely with an agile delivery team to turn that vision into tangible outcomes. You will act as the voice of the customer, ensuring that the product delivers maximum value and aligns with company goals.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and interpret feedback from customers, advisers and internal users.
• Define and maintain the product vision, roadmap and backlog.
• Prioritise work to maximise value while safeguarding long‑term product health.
• Validate that implementations meet acceptance criteria and support technical experts on architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with the delivery team during planning, retrospectives and other agile ceremonies.
• Present product progress and outcomes to senior leadership.
• Design and run low‑risk experiments to test hypotheses and inform backlog priorities.
• Promote agile, customer‑focused transformation across the organisation.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑centric mindset with the ability to translate business strategy into product outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working in an agile environment and leading product teams.
• Ability to balance short‑term delivery with long‑term product sustainability.
