Director - Corporate Tax

About the role

Unity Advisory is seeking a forward‑thinking Director of Corporate Tax to lead strategic tax advisory services for its clients. The role combines deep technical tax expertise with innovative, technology‑enabled solutions to deliver high‑impact insights to senior decision‑makers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex corporate tax advisory, including planning, structuring, and optimisation strategies.
• Provide guidance on tax‑efficient business structures, cross‑border transactions, and M&A tax implications.
• Develop and implement technology‑enabled tax solutions for scenario modelling and strategic decision‑making.
• Drive business growth through client development, thought leadership, and trusted advisor relationships.
• Interpret complex tax legislation, identify planning opportunities, and advise on strategic tax positions.
• Design and maintain robust tax governance frameworks to manage compliance and reputational risk.
• Coordinate with clients' tax compliance teams and other advisors to align strategy and execution.
• Lead multidisciplinary advisory teams, fostering innovation and excellence.
• Deliver high‑impact tax insights to C‑suite executives and create thought‑leadership content on emerging tax matters.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified with 10+ years of corporate tax experience, preferably at leading accountancy firms.
• In‑depth knowledge of UK and international tax regimes, statutes and emerging trends.
• Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, capable of translating complex scenarios into tax‑efficient outcomes.
• Exceptional communication skills, able to simplify tax concepts for non‑experts and influence senior executives.
• Leadership mindset with a collaborative, proactive approach to building high‑performing teams.
