Director, EMEA Financial Controller

About the role

Black Duck Software is seeking a Director of EMEA Financial Control to lead finance operations across seven EMEA countries. Reporting to the Global Corporate Controller, you will ensure accurate reporting, regulatory compliance and support the company’s rapid international growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial control, reporting and day‑to‑day finance operations for all EMEA entities.
• Ensure statutory and tax compliance in each country and manage external advisors.
• Translate local results into US GAAP for global consolidation and coordinate monthly close.
• Partner with regional general managers and global executives on strategic decisions, headcount planning and investment analysis.
• Lead statutory and group audit engagements, maintaining robust internal controls and risk frameworks.
• Build and manage a regional finance team or third‑party service providers, ensuring performance and cost‑efficiency.
• Drive automation and process improvements using NetSuite, Power BI and other finance technologies.
• Support entity set‑up, restructuring and expansion in new EMEA markets.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) with 10+ years of progressive international finance experience.
• Proven senior finance leadership in a US‑headquartered software or SaaS company.
• Deep knowledge of multiple EMEA statutory environments and US GAAP.
• Strong analytical, governance and risk‑management capabilities.
