Director of Business Development – Financial Services

About the role

TransPerfect is seeking a Director of Business Development to expand its footprint in the financial services sector. You will identify new client opportunities, manage the full sales cycle, and nurture long‑term relationships to drive revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Source and close new clients through referrals, cold calling, networking and events.
• Build and manage a productive sales pipeline across all stages of the sales process.
• Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with financial‑services clients, delivering elite service and consulting on best practices.
• Present TransPerfect solutions in one‑on‑one, group, online and in‑person meetings and manage pricing and contractual issues.
• Travel to client sites and industry conferences, both domestic and international.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years of successful sales experience, preferably within the financial services sector.
• Superior written and spoken communication skills.
• Commitment to high integrity, service excellence and respect for diverse colleagues and clients.
• Ability to multitask, work with urgency and take ownership of results in a fast‑paced environment.
