Director of Ecommerce & DTC Growth
The Growth Foundation · London
Job description
About the role
The Growth Foundation is recruiting a Director of DTC for a well-known premium British beauty and wellness brand. After a major repositioning and relaunch, the brand aims to grow its ecommerce business to £50m over five years. The role reports directly to the CEO, owns the global DTC P&L and leads the UK and US ecommerce business across Shopify Plus, CRM and retention via Klaviyo, Amazon UK and future channels. It is a hybrid position based in London.
Key responsibilities
- Own the global DTC P&L, annual plan, forecasting, budgets and weekly trading across UK, US, Amazon and future channels
- Build a repeatable new-customer acquisition engine across Meta, Google and other channels, managing CAC, contribution, payback and LTV
- Lead ecommerce trading, merchandising, CRO, customer journeys and the commercial performance of the Shopify Plus site
- Drive CRM and retention, especially first-to-second purchase, repeat purchase, segmentation and LTV
- Scale Amazon UK into a seven-figure channel and develop the Amazon US roadmap
- Run high-velocity testing of creative, audiences, offers, landing pages and merchandising
- Handle gifting and peak trading while protecting the premium brand
- Lead the internal team and specialist agency partners, using AI and automation where it helps
- Create a clear trading and reporting rhythm that turns data into action
Required profile
- Ideally direct responsibility for scaling a DTC business to around £5m-£20m, with full or significant P&L ownership
- Background as a Head of Growth, Growth Director, Ecommerce Director or senior DTC leader
- Experience in a founder-led, entrepreneurial or scale-up environment, leading internal teams and agencies
- Comfortable moving between strategy, leadership, commercial analysis and hands-on problem solving
- Experience across Amazon, the UK and US markets, premium ecommerce, gifting or seasonal Q4 trading is useful; a beauty or wellness background is helpful but secondary
Required skills
- Hands-on knowledge of Meta, Google, Shopify or Shopify Plus and Klaviyo
- Understanding of acquisition economics, CAC, contribution margin, payback, cohorts and LTV
Applicants are asked to apply through the Growth Foundation's talent network; responses are not guaranteed and candidates not heard back within two weeks should assume their application was not shortlisted.
