Director of Operations

About the role

This senior leadership position reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for end‑to‑end operational excellence across manufacturing, quality assurance/regulatory affairs, supply chain and overall performance in a regulated biomedical research and medical diagnostics company.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and optimise manufacturing, QA/RA and supply‑chain functions.
• Own the operational cost base, budgets, CAPEX planning and efficiency initiatives.
• Develop and execute the people strategy for a multi‑disciplinary team including Operations, Quality, HR and Finance leaders.
• Build scalable systems and processes to support rapid growth and increasing complexity.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to shape company strategy, investment decisions and long‑term growth.

Required profile

• Proven operations leadership experience in biotech, pharma or other regulated life‑science environments.
• Track record of managing quality‑driven settings, including QA/RA compliance and inspections.
• Commercial and financial ownership of operations, with experience handling budgets, CAPEX and efficiency programmes.
• Ability to design and implement scalable operational systems while leading through growth.
