Dispensing Lead

About the role
We are seeking a Lead Dispenser to manage the dispensing operations of our distance‑selling pharmacy. The role combines leadership of the dispensary team with responsibility for safe, accurate and timely prescription processing across our digital platform.
Key responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescriptions in line with legal, clinical and GPhC requirements.
- Oversee dispensary workflow, ensuring efficiency, timely processing and support for digital dispensing systems.
- Supervise, train and evaluate dispensary staff, manage rotas and allocate workload.
- Maintain compliance with GPhC standards, SOPs and NHS contractual obligations, including audit trails and inspections.
- Lead error reporting, incident learning and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote a culture of patient safety and respond to remote patient queries.
Required profile
- Qualified pharmacist with experience in community or distance‑selling pharmacy environments.
- Proven leadership experience supervising dispensary teams.
- Strong knowledge of GPhC regulations and NHS dispensing contracts.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Required skills
- Proficiency with digital dispensing platforms.
- Experience managing audit trails and compliance reporting.

- Competitive salary £30,000‑£40,000 per annum.
