Divisional Managing Director – Financial Services

About the role

This Divisional Managing Director role leads a standalone division of a high‑growth financial services business in the North West of England. The position is created to help double the division’s size over the next five years and to prepare for a future financial transaction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide autonomous operational leadership for the division, reporting directly to the Chief Executive and board.
• Drive revenue and profit growth across an established client base with institutional intermediaries.
• Develop and execute high‑level strategy while ensuring world‑class operational performance.
• Manage P&L responsibility for the division, overseeing financial planning and performance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, risk management, and governance in line with FCA requirements.
• Foster a high‑performance culture that maintains ethical standards and accountability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a FCA‑regulated financial services environment.
• Operational leadership of teams up to director level.
• Demonstrated success in managing the P&L of a standalone business or division.
• Track record of growing revenue and profitability with institutional clients.
• Ability to contribute to strategic planning and deliver operational excellence.
• Strong risk‑management and regulatory‑compliance expertise.
