Drama Teacher – Secondary School (KS3‑KS5)

About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Drama Teacher to join the vibrant Drama department of a highly‑regarded secondary school in Hackney, East London. The role will involve teaching Drama to KS3 and KS4 pupils, with the possibility of delivering KS5 provision.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess engaging Drama lessons across KS3‑KS4 (and optionally KS5).
- Develop and enrich the Drama curriculum in line with national standards.
- Collaborate with the Head of Drama and senior leadership to maintain high departmental standards.
- Use data and performance tracking to raise pupil achievement.
- Support pupils academically, socially and pastorally, fostering an inclusive learning environment.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching secondary‑age Drama.
- Passion for Drama with a proven record of inspiring and motivating students.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Commitment to working in an inner‑city school and promoting equality of opportunity.
- Resilience, sense of humour and ability to work under pressure.
Required skills
- Proficiency in using Excel for data analysis and reporting.
