Driver HGV

About the role

Join Veolia’s growing fleet in Birmingham and play a vital part in collecting and transporting waste for local communities. You will operate a heavy‑goods vehicle, ensuring safe and efficient collection of waste containers while upholding environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Driving to planned collection locations and emptying multiple waste containers.
• Lifting bins of all weights and sizes.
• Performing daily vehicle checks according to the driver operator handbook.
• Entering journey and collection data into the onboard system and submitting paperwork daily.
• Complying with traffic laws, load security and weight regulations.
• Keeping the carriageway clean and cleaning any spillages.

Required profile

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Current CPC Digi/Tachograph card.
• Excellent time‑management and organisational skills.
• Experience in the waste industry or with RCV vehicles is desirable.
