About the role
This position involves basic vehicle storage, handling and movement operations within a busy yard environment. You will work closely with the yard chain of command to ensure vehicles are moved safely and in line with customer standards.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out basic vehicle movement and handling tasks.
- Use HHD scanners to scan, locate and direct vehicle movements (training provided).
- Perform vehicle checks, report findings and any damage to the line manager.
- Park vehicles according to customer standards and site speed limits.
- Maintain personal safety and the safety of others in the yard.
- Complete additional yard duties as directed by supervisors.
Required profile
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable driving manual and automatic vehicles.
- Capable of working under pressure.
- Full, valid driver’s licence.
Required skills
- HHD scanner operation.
