About the role

Join a dynamic team in Runcorn as an Early Career Teacher (ECT) working within Key Stage 1. This full‑time, contractor‑based role offers both short‑term and long‑term cover, giving you the chance to develop classroom expertise in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging KS1 lessons that meet the national curriculum.
• Create an inclusive, positive classroom atmosphere for young learners.
• Assess student work, provide constructive feedback and track progress.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to share best practices and resources.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and reflective teaching.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE.
• Strong knowledge of Early Years, KS1 or KS2 curriculum.
• Two recent references, including one child‑based safeguarding reference.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Required skills

• Safeguarding Level 1 & 2 training.
