Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Part‑time placements

About the role

Vision for Education is seeking Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to gain classroom experience across supportive secondary schools in County Durham and the North East. The role offers flexible part‑time assignments, ranging from daily supply to short‑term and longer fixed‑term placements.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum in your specialist subject.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback to students and staff.
• Collaborate with school staff to support student development and wellbeing.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or on track to achieve QTS.
• A relevant degree or teaching qualification.
• Passion for education and supporting young people.
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
• Flexibility to work across different school settings.
